Matchmaking session International research in aviation and marine biofuels

Development of advanced biofuels requires international knowledge exchange and support. The Netherlands cooperates with other countries on this within Mission Innovation IC4:  Sustainable Biofuels. Within an international consortium, it is possible for Dutch parties to apply for a subsidy from TSE Industry.

To explore the possibilities for cooperation a matchmaking session for research institutes and industries from the Netherlands and India will be held on 23 June (time: 11:00 – 13:30 CEST, 14:30 – 17.00 IST).

Movie: Introduction Aviation collaboration in MI IC4

Project Requirements:

The project must fit within the themes and conditions. You will find it in the download on this page. In addition, you must meet the general conditions of the TSE regulations.

  • Only a partnership with at least one entrepreneur can submit a subsidy application. Collaboration means that the participants participate in the project at their own expense and risk. The collaboration must be balanced when it comes to financial or substantive contributions to the project. If this is not the case, it can lead to rejection, a lower or insufficient score on the ranking criterion ‘quality of the project’. Exceptions are demonstration projects energy innovation (DEI +) and the Top Sector Energy Studies for CCUS. An individual entrepreneur may also submit an application there.
  • Your project must fit within the description of the program lines or program. • You cannot completely outsource the project. The hiring of third parties does not count as actual cooperation for own account and risk.
  • For all demonstration projects, costs to third parties may be a maximum of 50% of the sum of investment costs-reference costs.
  • You may not start with projects before submitting the grant application. This also means that you may not have entered into any obligations before you submit a subsidy application. This also applies if these costs have not yet been paid.
  • Projects must start no later than 6 months after the decision.
  • Your project must be technically and economically feasible.
  • Make sure you have almost completed the financing of your own share of the project costs. This applies to the part for which you do not receive a subsidy.
  • Make sure that you substantiate claims about the effect of a technique and the economic perspective.

Projects that do not qualify:

  • Large-scale innovation projects: fall under the MOOI scheme.
  • Pilot and demonstration projects fall under the Energy and Climate Innovation Demonstration (DEI +).
  • Projects aimed at reducing the basic amount of an SDE + category. These fall under Renewable energy.
  • Other forms of funding are possible for fundamental research. You will receive this via NWO / NWA and PPP Allowance, among other things.
